Darlene Mae Young, age 83, passed away on December 31, 2020 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.
Darlene was born January 17, 1937 to Walter and Birdie Helen (Loftis) Lorsch. She graduated from Blair High School in 1954. Darlene married her childhood sweetheart, Franklin D. Young, on August 15, 1954, and were blessed with two children, Cindy Sue Young and Jeffery Lee Young. Darlene worked at Chapman Plumbing, Howard Thompson Agency, Blair Supply, owned the Western Auto in Millard, Nebraska, and OPPD where she spent 15 years before retiring in 2000. She was also a member of the Blair Fireman's Auxiliary. She loved garage sales, plants and especially her animals.
Darlene is survived by her son and daughter in law Jeff and Carolyn Young, her grandchildren, who her whole world was centered around, Keenan and Emma Young and her great granddaughter Ellie Hansen, sisters; Janet Sederburg and Betty Anderson along with several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Franklin, daughter Cindy Costantinou, son in law Dean Costantinou, and most recently her dear friend Joe Unstad. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Jeanette Hunt Blair Animal Shelter.
