Betty was born February 11, 1931, in Montrose, South Dakota to Joseph and Pauline Malloy. She was the youngest of 4 children. The family moved to Decatur, Nebraska where all the children attended Elm Creek School and lived on a farm outside of town.

Betty attended the College of St Mary in Omaha and then taught school for 5 years. Some of that time teaching was spent at the small two room Elm Creek School that she had attended as a child.

She married James Morris Connealy on June 11, 1955, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Decatur, Nebraska. Betty and Jim raised 5 children and over 21 years of marriage lived in many states, lastly in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Betty later met and married Allison “Al” Buehre, December 28, 1979, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and had 30 wonderful years together. They both loved to travel, and Betty enjoyed accompanying Al on ski trips and metal detecting adventures. Golfing and Bridge were also among the things that she enjoyed. Both were very active in their church throughout their lives. Betty felt the Catholic Mass was the greatest prayer and it was very dear to her. She continued her education and became a part time Pastoral Minister. Her faith in God guided her throughout her life and helped her through trying times. Her belief in God and prayer was unwavering.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Al Buehre, her parents Joseph and Pauline Malloy, siblings Mark Malloy, Marcella Connealy, Mary Jo Connealy, grandson Cole Connealy and granddaughter Karolynn Louise Boyd.
