Larry Dayle Drummond, 79, of Alliance, died on Monday, November 2, 2020 at his home in Alliance, Nebraska. He would be described by many as "The nicest man I've ever met.”

He was born January 5, 1941 in Oakland, Nebraska to Lawrence and Alice (Johnson) Drummond.

Larry moved to Alliance in 1974 and for 10 years operated Deluxe Radiator Shop.  Following that time in business he would later become Chief Jailor for the Box Butte County Sheriff's Office.  He retired from that position after 25 years of service.

He is survived by his children, Kevin & Enriqueta (Disucatan) Drummond, Brian & Carmen (Shanks) Drummond, Connie-Jo (Drummond) Bingham, and Mark Drummond; his grandchildren, Sherryl (Drummond) Weick, Mario Drummond, Rehena Drummond, Andrea Drummond, Brandon Bingham, Karlei Bingham, and Taylor Drummond; and his great grandchildren Ethan Weick, Keilani Weick, James Weick, Lillian Drummond, Sylvia Drummond and Liam Bingham.

He is also survived by his brothers and their spouses Lawrence and Helen Drummond Sr., and Donald and Jeanie Drummond.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Richard Drummond.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel in Alliance, NE.  Pastor Glenn Johnson officiated and burial took place in the Alliance Cemetery.
