Marlin Jay Greenfield, age 76, of Uehling passed away on October 13, 2023 at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point, NE.  He was a dedicated and loving husband, dad, father-in-law, papa and friend.  There will be a celebration of life for Marlin on Sunday, October 29th, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Uehling Auditorium at 224 3rd Street, Uehling.

Marlin was the son of Irvin and Margie Greenfield and was born in Oakland, Nebraska on February 28, 1947. He attended Bancroft Public Schools graduating in 1965.

On June 4, 1977 he married the love of his life, Kathleen Pullen.  Marlin and Kathy lived in Uehling, NE for many years where they raised their daughter Amber.

In 1980, Marlin and Kathy started Greenfield’s KG Body Shop.  Marlin wasn’t just the local neighborhood body man.  He was a listener to all who needed advice and a mentor for all the local kids that wanted to learn his trade.

He was also a devoted friend.  For many years he was an EMT for the Uehling Fire & Rescue Squad.  Other hobbies included the Uehling Swap Meet, Demolition Derbies, and helping his wife with the Uehling Craft Show.

Marlin is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy of Uehling. Daughter Amber (Chevy) Carlson of Fremont; grandchildren Bentley of Fremont and Josh (Emily) Carlson of Lincoln. Sons Shane and Jay Greenfield and family.  Brother Marvin (Mary) Greenfield of Bancroft, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marlin was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Margie Greenfield, Sister VerLee Wickstrom, Brother-in-Law Emory Wickstrom, and infant daughter, Autumn Rose, and infant brother Rockne Lee of Bancroft.

Marlin's body was donated to the Anatomical Board of the State of Nebraska.
