NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR TAX DEED UNLESS YOU ACT YOU WILL LOSE THIS PROPERTY To: BILLIE CURIEL, CITY OF OAKLAND, NE, John Doe and Mary Doe, parties in possession, real names unknown; and any and all persons/entities who have or claim some lien interest in the real estate described below, You are hereby notified that on or about March 5, 2018, Dan Knosp purchased from the Treasurer of Burt County, Nebraska, for $470.32, representing delinquent taxes plus interest, costs and fees, at a public tax sale for delinquent county real estate taxes for the year of 2016 for the following described real estate: Lot Four (4), and the South ½ of Lot Five (5), Block Twenty Two (22), Railroad Addition to the City of Oakland, Burt County, Nebraska . A Treasurer’s Tax Sale Certificate, number 1-DK-18, was issued to the purchaser. The real estate was assessed in the name(s) of BILLIE CURIEL. Additional taxes for years 2017, 2018, and 2019 have been paid for a total of $1855.71 plus interest. Subsequent taxes may have been paid and interest may have accrued as of the date this notice is signed by the purchaser. You are further notified that the issuance of a tax deed is subject to the right of redemption under Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 77-1824 to 77-1830. The right of redemption requires payment to the county treasurer, for the use of such purchaser, or his or her heirs or assigns, the amount of taxes represented by the tax sale certificate for the year the taxes were levied or assessed and any subsequent taxes paid and interest accrued as of the date payment is made to the county treasurer. The right of redemption expires at the close of business on the date of application for the tax deed, and a deed may be applied for after the expiration of three months from the date of service of this notice.
